Dynamic Exponential Load

Description:
This device is an implementation of the three-phase exponential load model. The load active power and reactive power vary as function of its voltage amplitude and frequency. This device is implemented... see more as described in [1]. It allows to perform classical and sophisticated dynamic-stability studies in EMTP. This device can be used in the load flow and time-domain simulations.

During the load initialization, the initial active power and initial reactive power are used to find the load-flow. The load voltage magnitude and phase with update from the load flow results automatically.

Load-flow voltage violation assessment

Description:
This example shows a way to automatically detect voltage violations of the load-flow results.
Users can set low and high limits for each bus (for example 0.95pu-1.05pu).

This pap... see moreer is presented as part of an effort by the Distribution System Analysis Subcommittee to establish reference cases for induction machine modeling in distribution system analysis and unbalanced three-phase systems. This panel paper presents analysis results obtained when applying a full time-domain method with load-flow and steady-state initialization. The selected software is EMTP-RV. Problem solution complexities are discussed.
