Learn more about our news article:NYPA's AGILe & EMTP® Collaboration: New York's Digital Twin Our EMTP® team has started an exciting and innovative project with the Advanced Grid Innovation Laboratory for Energy (AGILe) team at the New York Power Authority (NYPA). AGILe has identified the need to develop a scalable and resilient architecture to run real-time (RT), soft real-time (SRT), and offline simulations for large-scale power grids. A platform capable of co-simulating EMT and Phasor models with an ensemble set such as EMTP® (as the main simulation tool), PSS/E, PSCAD, RTDS and Opal-RT will be developed. A CIM database with geographic information system (GIS) cooridnates of the New York State network will be created using existing EMTP import tools. This project, led by our EMTP® team, aims to develop the above architecture that pushes the boundaries of any existing co-simulation platform in the field of power systems. |
