CP line/cable m-phase with only some continously transposed wires

Submitted by suchantke on Tue, 07/28/2015 - 15:55

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

this is my first forum contribution so please excuse me, if I should post anything wrong.

I have the following set up for my recent project:

3 cables with 2 conductors each (layed straight)

and another cable with 2 conductors which is continously transposed (twisted (like a twisted two-pair)).

Question:

HVDC MMC parameters

Submitted by maamurad on Wed, 05/20/2015 - 01:07

Hi,

I am working with the HVDC MMC models.

In the MMC controllers to calculate the parameter values (such as #Pctrl_Ki#) there is a script in the folder toolboxes, but if I change a parameter on that script the simulation result is same. That is why I want to know what values are the controllers using during the time domain simulation. Can anyone help me be by giving the information, how can I calculate or get these parameter values?

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ahsan (KTH)

Modelling Wind Turbines

Submitted by aaron.mcdonnell on Wed, 10/01/2014 - 15:20

I am looking to model wind turbines for the purpose of an insulation co-ordination study.

Due to the damping effect of  the transient overvoltages when there is a generator power flow into the wind farm network, I am unsure on most most accurate way to represent them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Generating a net via script

Hallo everyone,

I want to create a simple model in EMTP that has many almost identical parts. For example 100 capacitors in series, but each one with a different capacitance. Is there a way to quickly create this circuit with a script?

It is very tedious to double click on all devices and change each and every parameter every time there is a new model.

Cheers,

Ronald

Railway system influence

Submitted by bosko.milesevic on Fri, 11/15/2013 - 12:05

Hello everyone!

My experience of EMTP usage is connected to investigation of electric railway system influence on metal structures located nearby railway overhead lines. I found that EMTP is the appropriate software program for railway system modelling, current distribution analysis (interfering current) and induced voltage calculation.

Compared with other similar software program, EMTP is easier to use: the user friendly desktop calculation allows fast modelling, calculation time is shorter and possibilities of result analysis are excellent.
