Expert Programmer
Main responsibilities
- Support developers in various software development activities.
- Support the deployment of software packages and validation systems.
- Develop advanced numerical codes and visualization tools for power system simulation.
- Manage and control development tools, environments, system security and installations.
- Provide expertise on software development.
Qualifications
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer programming or software engineering
- Electrical engineers with advanced programming skills will be considered
- You have at least 4 years of experience in software development
- You are fluent in C++, C#, JavaScript, Python and Java. Advanced knowledge on parallel computing would be an important asset. Knowledge on electrical systems would be an important asset.
- You have strong interpersonal relation skills
- You are fluent in English and French

EMTP Study Engineer
Main responsibilities
- Prepare proposals for projects for various clients in the field of power systems.
- Perform simulations with EMTP on power system transients for various clients.
- Build vendor convertor models as DLL
- Study and comment reports prepared by other employees.
- Prepare presentations for clients on given technical topics related to power system transients.
- Develop models in the EMTP GUI environment. The model development may involve some coding using scripts and DLLs
Qualifications
- You are a power system engineer
- You have strong interpersonal and client relation skills
- You have at least 3 years of experience in electrical network studies (transmission and distribution, power electronics)
- You are familiar with electromagnetic transients
- You have strong technical and organizational skills
- You are fluent in English
